Copycat Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients:
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pint (2 cups) heavy cream
1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Directions:
I. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
II. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing it to cook for 4-5 minutes while stirring frequently.
III. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until it is fully melted and the sauce thickens. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.
IV. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, until it reaches your desired consistency.
V. Toss the Alfredo sauce with your cooked pasta of choice. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
