Ingredients:
3-4 lbs pork shoulder (boneless or bone-in)
1 large onion, chopped
2 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a bit of heat)
Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1️⃣ In your slow cooker, add the chopped onion to the bottom, then place the pork shoulder on top.
2️⃣ In a small bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne (if using).
3️⃣ Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the pork, making sure it’s fully coated.
4️⃣ Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or on HIGH for 5-6 hours until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
5️⃣ Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred it. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
6️⃣ Serve the pulled pork on buns, tacos, or with your favorite sides, and garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley.
