
Ingredients:
1 box German chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients needed to prepare it)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce
1 ½ cups shredded coconut
1 ½ cups chopped pecans
1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip)
1 cup chocolate chips, melted
½ cup chopped pecans (for garnish)
Directions:
Bake the German chocolate cake mix according to package directions in a 9×13-inch pan.
Once baked, let the cake cool for 5-10 minutes. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the top of the cake.
Pour sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce over the cake, making sure they seep into the holes. Let the cake cool completely.
In a separate bowl, mix together shredded coconut and chopped pecans.
Spread the coconut-pecan mixture evenly over the top of the cake.
Top the cake with whipped topping and drizzle with melted chocolate.
Sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top for garnish.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
