Ingredients:
4 pita bread rounds
3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/4 tsp black pepper
Optional: za’atar, red pepper flakes, or your favorite seasoning for extra flavor
Directions:
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut the pita: Using a sharp knife, cut each pita round into 8 triangles. You can separate the pita bread layers for extra crispy chips.
Season the chips: In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Brush the pita triangles with the seasoned olive oil mixture on both sides. Sprinkle with additional seasoning, if desired.
Bake the chips: Arrange the pita triangles in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
Serve: Let the pita chips cool slightly before serving. Pair with your favorite dip, such as hummus, tzatziki, or a yogurt-based dip.
