Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients:
12 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
1 lb chicken breast, diced
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:
Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Add the broccoli during the last 3-4 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
Cook the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté garlic: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Make the sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and let the sauce thicken for 5 minutes. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
Combine: Add the cooked pasta, broccoli, and chicken to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce.
Serve: Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper.
