Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb sausage (smoked or Italian), sliced
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
Cook the sausage: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage slices and cook until browned and crispy on the edges, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the shrimp: In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
Cook the broccoli: Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and sauté the broccoli florets for 4-5 minutes until bright green and tender.
Make the honey garlic sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil (if using), minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
Combine everything: Add the sausage and shrimp back into the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the honey garlic sauce over everything and cook for 2-3 minutes until everything is coated in the sauce and heated through.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
