Puff Pastry Pecan Pie Bites

Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
1/2 cup pecans, chopped + whole pecans for topping
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Pinch of salt

Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Puff Pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet and cut it into small squares (about 12-15 pieces).
Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix chopped pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Fill the Pastry: Place a spoonful of the pecan mixture into the center of each puff pastry square. Fold the edges over slightly to keep the filling in place.
Top with Whole Pecans: Gently press a whole pecan on top of each pastry bite.
Bake: Place the bites on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and puffy.
Cool and Serve: Let cool slightly before serving warm.
