Ingredients
500g beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
1/4 cup beef broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Marinate the beef: Toss the beef strips with one tablespoon soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.
Cook the beef: Heat one tablespoon of oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the beef in batches for two to three minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Cook the bell peppers, onions, garlic, and ginger for four to five minutes until slightly softened.
Make the sauce: Stir in the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and beef broth. Simmer for one to two minutes.
Combine: Return the beef to the skillet and toss everything together, cooking for an additional two minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
Serve: Garnish with freshly ground pepper and enjoy with steamed rice.
