4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6 to 8 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook the Chicken
Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup or honey, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
Combine Ingredients
Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes to thicken slightly. Return the cooked chicken and chopped turkey bacon to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
Serve
Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
