Ingredients
1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup chopped parsley (plus extra for garnish)
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
1/4 cup water (optional, for cornstarch slurry)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well.
Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden and cooked through.
While baking, prepare the sauce: in a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Optional: Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Stir into the sauce and cook until thickened.
Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and stir to coat evenly.
Garnish with extra parsley and serve over rice or noodles.
