
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound Italian sausage
1 medium onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
1 can (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
1 large egg
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
12 lasagna noodles, cooked
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened. Drain excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, 1 cup mozzarella, and Parmesan. Mix until smooth.
Layer the lasagna in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom, then add a layer of noodles, ricotta mixture, and more meat sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of noodles and the remaining sauce.
Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh parsley and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
