Ingredients:
12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
14 oz smoked sausage (beef or turkey), sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp Italian seasoning
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Drain and set aside.
Cook the Sausage:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring to combine.
Season with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Bring to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add Cheese & Sausage:
Reduce the heat to low and gradually stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Add the cooked sausage back into the skillet, mixing well.
Combine with Pasta:
Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
Let everything simmer for another 2 minutes so the flavors blend together.
Serve & Garnish:
Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Serve warm and enjoy!
