Caramel Apple Crisp Bites (Sweet & Spiced)

Ingredients:
For the crust:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the apple filling:
3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the caramel topping:
1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Directions:
I. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin and set aside.
II. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture is well combined and crumbly.
III. Press about a tablespoon of the crust mixture into each mini muffin cup, pressing it firmly to form a crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside.
IV. In a separate bowl, toss the diced apples with granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice until the apples are evenly coated.
V. Spoon the apple mixture into each baked crust, filling them generously. Bake for another 10-12 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
VI. Allow the bites to cool slightly before drizzling each one with caramel sauce. Serve warm or at room temperature.
