Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients:
4 slices of thick-cut bacon
2 large eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
2 slices of cheddar cheese
4 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough or whole wheat work great)
2 tablespoons butter

Directions:
I. In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on paper towels to drain.
II. In the same skillet, crack the eggs and cook them to your liking—sunny side up, over easy, or scrambled. Season with salt and pepper.
III. While the eggs are cooking, butter one side of each slice of bread. In a separate pan or on a griddle, toast the bread slices, buttered side down, until golden brown.
IV. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on two of the bread slices while they’re still warm, allowing the cheese to melt slightly.
V. Assemble the sandwich by placing the eggs on top of the cheese, followed by the crispy bacon. Top with the remaining slices of toasted bread.
VI. Slice in half if desired, and enjoy hot!
