Chicken Bacon Ranch Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Make the Ranch Sauce: In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, ranch seasoning mix, and milk. Stir until smooth and well mixed.
Assemble the Casserole: Add the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the ranch mixture. Stir to combine. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the top.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Add the Cheese: Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Garnish with chopped chives if desired. Serve hot and enjoy this hearty, comforting casserole.
