Ingredients:
12 oz spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup ricotta cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the diced onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is softened.
Stir in the marinara sauce and diced tomatoes. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, ½ cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked spaghetti with half of the meat sauce.
Layer half of the spaghetti mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread the ricotta cheese mixture over the spaghetti, followed by the remaining spaghetti mixture.
Top with the rest of the meat sauce and sprinkle the remaining 1 ½ cups of mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
