Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 apples, sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup maple syrup
Juice of 1 lime
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lime wedges (for serving)
Directions:
Sear the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden and fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Cook the apples: In the same skillet, add the apple slices and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened. Remove and set aside with the chicken.
Make the sauce: In the skillet, add the maple syrup, lime juice, soy sauce, and chili flakes. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
Combine and serve: Return the chicken and apples to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Let everything heat through for 1-2 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lime wedges.
