Spicy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:
Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Season the shrimp: Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Cook the shrimp: In a large skillet, melt 1 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Alfredo sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
Combine pasta and shrimp: Add the cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and mix gently.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and extra red pepper flakes for additional spice if desired. Serve hot.
