Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts, cut into strips
2 cups penne pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Cook the pasta: Boil penne according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cook the chicken: In a skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Season chicken strips with salt and pepper, then sauté for 6-8 minutes until fully cooked and golden. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, then add chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
Add the cheese: Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
Combine: Add the cooked penne and chicken back into the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the creamy cheddar sauce.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot!
