Apple Crisp

Ingredients:
6 cups sliced apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

Directions:
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the apples: In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Make the topping: In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to blend the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Assemble: Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!
