Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onions. Drain excess fat and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
Assemble the casserole: Grease a baking dish and layer the thinly sliced potatoes on the bottom. Spread the cooked beef mixture on top of the potatoes, followed by the soup mixture.
Top with cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve hot!
