Ingredients for Steak Bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Ingredients for Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
1 lb baby potatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions for Steak Bites:
Prepare the steak bites: Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper.
Cook the steak: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the garlic butter: In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Combine and serve: Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Directions for Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
Boil the potatoes: Boil the baby potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Smash the potatoes: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the boiled potatoes on a baking sheet. Use the back of a spoon or a potato masher to gently smash each potato.
Top with cheese: Drizzle the smashed potatoes with olive oil, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the top.
Bake: Bake the potatoes for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are crispy.
Garnish and serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot alongside the steak bites.
