1 lb large sea scallops
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Directions:
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Prepare the scallops: Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and place them in the prepared baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.
Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and half of the chopped parsley. Pour the mixture over the scallops.
Add cheese: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the scallops.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and the tops are golden and bubbly.
Serve: Garnish with the remaining parsley and serve with lemon wedges for extra flavor.
