Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
Salt and pepper, to taste
3 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
1 lb baby potatoes
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup milk or cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:
Prepare the Potatoes: In a large pot, boil the baby potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
Smash the Potatoes: Using a fork or potato masher, lightly smash each potato. In a pan, melt the butter and add the milk. Stir in the cheese until melted, then add the smashed potatoes, seasoning with salt and pepper. Stir gently to coat, and garnish with fresh chives.
Cook the Steak Bites: Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and add the garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, then add the steak pieces. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked to your liking.
Serve: Plate the steak bites alongside the cheesy smashed potatoes. Garnish with parsley on the steak and chives on the potatoes.
