
Ingredients
1 pound baby carrots or large carrots cut into thick slices
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
Directions
Sauté the carrots: Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the carrots and sauté for five to seven minutes until they start to soften.
Add the glaze: Stir in the honey, orange juice, orange zest, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet.
Braise: Let the carrots cook, stirring occasionally, for fifteen to twenty minutes until they are tender and the glaze has thickened.
Serve: Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and serve warm. These carrots make the perfect side for any meal.
