Cheesy BBQ Chicken and Bacon Sliders

Ingredients

12 slider buns

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken

1 cup barbecue sauce

6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

6 slices cheddar cheese, halved

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with barbecue sauce until evenly coated.

Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish. Spoon the barbecue chicken mixture onto each bun. Add a half slice of cheddar cheese and sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Place the top halves of the buns on.

Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter. Sprinkle with poppy seeds if using.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.

Serve hot and enjoy.
