
Ingredients
1 bagel (any kind, onion bagel works well)
4 ounces shaved steak (or thinly sliced steak)
1 large egg
1 slice American cheese (or cheddar for extra flavor)
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: sautéed onions, garlic powder for seasoning
Instructions
Prepare the Bagel
Slice the bagel in half and toast until golden brown. Set aside.
Cook the Steak
In a skillet over medium heat, melt half the butter. Add the shaved steak, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Sauté until browned, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add sautéed onions if desired.
Cook the Egg
In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Crack the egg into the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the white is set but the yolk remains runny (or cook longer for a firmer yolk).
Assemble the Sandwich
Place the cooked steak on one half of the bagel. Top with the cheese slice, then the fried egg. Close with the other bagel half.
Serve and Enjoy
Serve warm with your favorite breakfast sides or on its own.
