
Ingredients:
1 lb ziti pasta
1 lb Italian sausage (casings removed)
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
1 Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2 Cook the ziti pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
3 In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and Italian sausage. Cook until the sausage is browned and crumbled.
4 Stir in the marinara sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
5 In a large bowl, mix together the cooked ziti, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
6 Pour half of the pasta mixture into the baking dish. Top with half of the sausage mixture, then repeat with remaining pasta and sausage.
7 Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
8 Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
9 Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm!
