
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs cubed beef steak
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
3/4 cup beef broth
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Directions:
Prepare the Steak: Place the cubed steaks in the bottom of your crock pot, spreading them out evenly.
Make the Gravy: In a medium bowl, mix together the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, beef broth, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
Layer the Ingredients: Pour the gravy mixture over the cubed steaks, making sure the steaks are well covered. Top with sliced onions.
Cook: Cover the crock pot and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours, or on HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the steaks are tender and the gravy has thickened.
Thicken the Gravy (Optional): If you prefer a thicker gravy, mix 1/4 cup of cornstarch with 1/4 cup of cold water. Stir the mixture into the gravy 30 minutes before serving, then cover and continue cooking.
Serve: Serve the cubed steaks with gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a hearty meal.
