Peanut Butter Brownie Bars

Ingredients:
For the Brownie Base:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
For the Peanut Butter Layer:
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping:
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Directions:
Prepare the Brownie Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined. Mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer: In a medium bowl, beat together peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined. Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the cooled brownie base.
Prepare the Topping: In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until set.
Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
