Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 box (15.25 oz) spice cake mix
1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
3 large eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
For the Frosting:
1 can (16 oz) cream cheese frosting
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Black decorating gel (for spooky designs)
Candy eyes or Halloween sprinkles (optional for decoration)
Directions:
Prepare the Cake Batter:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the spice cake mix, pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, water, and pumpkin pie spice. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes, until smooth and well combined.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 28-32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
Decorate the Cake:
In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese frosting with vanilla extract until smooth.
Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled cake.
Use black decorating gel to draw spooky designs like ghosts, spider webs, or bats on the frosting. Add candy eyes or Halloween sprinkles for an extra eerie effect if desired.
